New Blogs
I have a new blog for my Home school "diary" entries. http://teachinginmyjammies.blogspot.com/
I also started one more personal since this on is getting over taken with digiscrap stuff. Some of the info on the blogs will be the same, but I will try to keep them from being too much of the same. I will probably putting the recipes, tips, etc. here and try to keep pressed petals digi stuff. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Great Day & LO's
Homeschool went great today. History is fun. We are doing History Alive! By Diane Waring. And Adults this is so good for us too. It's totally christain! It's like being in sunday school with Pastor, that's how much I get out of it! I got LA (language) so that was good.
I also found a great new scrap site. http://www.thedigichick.com/ I did two LO's for challenges there. I'd so love to win to get more of their stuff!! Jared's is a scraplift and Colleen's a color challenge. Ask me if you need credits.

Diary of a Homeschooler mom & pics
Well, our first day back at school went good (even though I got a headache). C just went right through it w/o really any problems. She had a really good attitude too!!! J talked and talked and laughed (hence the headache). He worked slower, hopefully it was just getting used to school again. Pray that he doesn't get distracted and learns to focus. I have to go over his Language Arts again. I didn't get it today. Tomorrow should go smoother. We started rouhgly at 8:10am and finished at 11:50. We took about an hour lunch break. They are in their own rooms being quiet!!! :) I got the dishes done and half of the laundry done!
Here are some pics from two outreaches. Have to put Today's school pictures on another post!
Starting off with a BANG!
Today we start school. We will techincally start in 10 min. Just had to post this quick note. We have already started off with a bang. We woke up to a big thunderstorm. So the kids were up early!
Also, we had water baptism last night. C got baptised!!! It was a suprise to us. She did really good. Most of the youth and a 40 something backslider got baptised. It was the most people we've had in a long time. Awesome.
Sat. we had another concert at the Plateau. Remnant played. It was good (I'll post a couple of pics here soon.) R & C both witnessed and R prayed with a teen who came for a while. Great things are happening here!!
I need to go ring the school bell!! ;) Have a nice day!

Mmmm Monday
Mmmm Monday on a Sat? No, I haven't mixed up my days. Robert is making these pancakes as I type and a friend wanted the recipe. I thought I'd post it here. Also, I don't know if I'll get to posting Monday since we start home school! Which I'm excited for.
Here you go!
Whole Wheat Pancakes
Serves 4 (about 8 pancakes)
3/4 c all-purpose flour
3/4 c whole wheat flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 Tbls wheat germ (optional)
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 1/4 c low-fat buttermilk
1/4 c milk
1 Tbls honey
2 Tbls butter, plus more as needed
*In medium bowl, whisk together both flours, the baking powder, baking soda, wheat germ and salt. Set aside.
*In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, honey and buttermilk. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry until just incorporated (the mixture may be somewhat lumpy).
*Heat a large skillet over medium heat with 1 Tbls butter.
*Pour the batter into the skillet, using 1/3 cup per pancake. Cook until the bottoms are golden brown and small bubbles pop on the top, 3 - 4 minutes.
*Flip and continue cooking until the other side is golden brown, another 2-3 min. Repeat with remaining batter, using additional butter as needed.

RAK
At Scrap Matters there is a thread where you can RAK (random act of kindness) for someone. Here's how it works: You take someones pictue/s and make a LO with it. You leave a picture, someone does a LO with your picture. I made one for someone. I'll have to ask her if I can post it on my blog. This is what scrappin5kids did for me. I love it! I love everything about it. Isn't it awesome?!
Amazing Grace
A friend sent me this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMF_24cQqT0
Please watch the video before you read the rest. Thanks!
(I tried to put the video here in my blog, but can't figure out how to do it. Sorry, you're going to have to go to the link.)
You know, this is one of me favorite songs. I was never a slave the way we think of it. But I was a slave to my sin. A slave to the confusion, the bitterness and the anger I had in my heart. At seventeen years of age I asked Jesus into my heart and He set me free from my sin. His blood bought me and paid the price for all that I 've done. Jesus saw me, a broken teenager, I didn't have much to offer, but he paid the price anyway. I had hated Him, called on Him then turned my back on Him many times. But His love for me bought me off of that slave box. I am set free. And still to this day even when I get used to this awesome life He gave me (I'm in my right mind, married, have kids, have joy, etc.) and start to complain, this song is a reminder ( a graceful kick in the butt) that I am still free.
