I know not all of my readers are on facebook, but most probably are.
While I am not a BIG FB person I am on there.
(please don't ask me to friend you. don't mean to be rude, i just like to keep it small.)
Some of my family members only talk through FB.
Would you tell a friend (in FB and in real life) that a photo/comment was not fit to be out there in public?
Would you tell them even if that meant they may unfriend you?
Would you tell them even if they may unfriend you in real life?
Now this post doesn't pertain to any one person/s.
I have seen some things posted on FB that I am sure people wouldn't post while standing on the corner or in a crowded bus.

I think it depends on the privacy level they have set. I only let friends see my info and my pics. Not friends of friends or anyone else. So...maybe if it is just a few people seeing it -- that's what they intended -- even if the issue was sensitive?
I personally would not say anything to them.
Everyone has different levels of comfort with sharing what can be private info... and what might be too much for you might not be the same for someone else.
However, if the issue involves you then I would most definitely say something, no matter what the consequences. People need to respect each other and it would be disrespectful to post something that involved you that you were not comfortable with.
just my two cents.
If it was a pic of people who are ok with being in it, then it's up to them if they want it for everyone to see.
I've been told by someone that something I wrote probably needed to be taken off. I agreed. I've told someone who put pics up of another person they should take them off because I didn't feel they were appropriate. They didn't appreciate the comment but they did take them off and are more careful about what they post.
The maturity of the person who posted a comment or a pic is also a big part of if you should say something or not.
Were they really a friend anyway if they are that defensive? You can disagree with someone but not let it ruin a friendship.
Just my opinion :)
You girls are funny. I post something "controversial" (I can't think of the right word) and you come out of hiding! Thanks for your input. FB can be a funny thing.
We have a little saying and it goes like this: "Um, that's probably not your best look." Translated, it means, "OMG! You can't be serious. You look like hell! and even: Wait til I show all my friends and we all have a good laugh." :)
good one, lime.
