honey we got a new dog...

I had to pick up hubby.  I told him I'll bring our new dog.
His reaction was classic.  Something close to "WHATTTTT!"
Anyway, we only got our dog, Charlie groomed.

He was pretty much like this when we got him.
We have tried to keep up on his dreadlocks, but really to no avail.

So, he had to get shaved very short.  He actually isn't unhappy, just a bad shot.

We are still getting used to his new look.
He is so soft and easy to brush.
He just gets cold so easy now.
I will have to take some pics of his clothes!

Pago Pago

The big news is my brother and his family are being sent to American Samoa!
You may have to look for Pago Pago on your globe/map.  That would be the capital.

Matt has been there once about 2 years ago.  He feel in love with the island and it's people.

My brother who has water in his bones, who surfed, lived 3 blocks from the beach, who has lived in the desert for years, is now going to be surrounded by water.

Here he is at one of the schools.  The students were very open.  Yes, males wear skirts too.  They have a different name though.  The men wear dress shirt and tie with shorts and flip flops to church.  Gotta love it.

Please pray for Matt and his family as they fly far away from home to reach precious souls for Jesus.  They will be pioneering.  Starting from scratch.
My heart is already there.  (I am trying not to cry as I type, part from saddness, part joy.)

Small Favors

When I let Dolly (our basset hound) out of her crate this moring I saw a pile of grass.
On further inspection...(I will spare you the details.)
I discovered that she had eaten our son's dead (very dead, nasty, throw that thing out, dead) turtle.
He was saving it for the shell.

Dolly did me a favor, even if I had to clean up the mess.
