Our son turned 13 recently.
He wanted to take a few friends to a small river about one hour away.
So we packed up the snacks, towel, water and kids and headed out.
Girls in the car with me and buys in the truck.
When we got there, it was closed.
Too dry, I am sure. Everything is closed.
I took a few shots of the surroundings before we decided what to do next. 
The boys were less willing to take pics then the girls.
They (I went home.) ended up going to a waterfall (small) that a friend of a friend of a ...knows about.
They had a good time.
